The 21st annual Steps Against Melanoma 5K Walk returns to Martindale Beach at Kensington Metropark on Sunday, Oct. 11.

Registration opens at 9 a.m., stage introductions begin at 10:30 a.m. and the walk starts at 11 a.m. The event is free, family-friendly and dog-friendly. Donations support AIM at Melanoma’s research and education work.

Organizers also plan face painting, balloon art, yard games, music, breakfast snacks and raffles. Online registration is available but is not required.

Location: Martindale Beach Pavilion, Kensington Metropark, 4570 Huron River Parkway, Milford, MI 48380.
